Ratoon - after harvesting, the cane will continue to grow for another 2-3 season until it is commercially feasible to do replanting

a) Trash burning otherwise affect the fertilizer application

b) Replacement is difficult as the ridge has been flatten and the replacement cane need rainfall after the process.

Ha cut for ratooning = 2266
Ha for Single = 1804
balance = 462 Ha

Capacity of Single 24 Ha/day
balance can be complete 462/24 = 19 days which is high, target is 10 days
Reason for this is because of cross


b) Pre E

Ha for Pre-E = 1800
capacity = 26
balance can be completed by (2266-1800)/26 = 18 days
